My husband booked a double room and a single at The Leven in Stokesly, but unfortunately, he fell ill on the day of our planned stay. Despite attempting to cancel the booking, we were unable to do so as none of the links in the OYO confirmation email worked, and the phone number provided was unresponsive. In a last-ditch effort to rectify the situation, my husband contacted the hotel directly, only to discover that OYO had charged us a staggering £229, claiming to have automatically upgraded us to a deluxe room without our knowledge or consent.
