Bought some expensive Christmas…

I recently had the pleasure of shopping at pier1.com for some exquisite Christmas ornaments, only to find that they arrived in less than perfect condition. Disappointed by the poor packaging, I discovered that the delicate paint on some of the ornaments had chipped, and one was even broken. To make matters worse, my attempts to reach out to their customer support team proved futile, as I did not receive any response to my concerns. Thankfully, this experience didn't overshadow the fact that the ornaments themselves were of exceptional quality and truly stunning. Despite the initial setbacks, I couldn't deny the beauty and craftsmanship that went into creating these ornaments. Moving forward, I hope to see improvements in their packaging and customer support, as I believe their products deserve better handling and attention to customer satisfaction. Although my experience was less than perfect, I'm optimistic that pier1.com can learn and grow from these challenges to provide an even better shopping experience for future customers. I am hopeful that my feedback will be taken constructively, and I look forward to the opportunity to revisit pier1.com and experience the exceptional service that matches the undeniable quality of their products.

My review for pier1.com Bought some expensive Christmas ornaments that were packed poorly and paint was chipped off the top and one ornament was broken. Wrote to them twice with no response. Buyer beware there is NO customer support.

UK fronted website that scams you

When I first stumbled upon pier1.com, I thought I had found the perfect place to shop for unique items. However, I soon found myself in a nightmare that I wouldn't wish on anyone. The website appeared to be UK-based, but my items ended up shipping from China without any prior notice. What's worse, their payment gateway was also in China, resulting in unexpected foreign transaction fees that caught me off guard. To make matters even more frustrating, my order never arrived, leaving me with no choice but to reach out to a dubious @hotmail email address in a desperate attempt to get a refund. After several fruitless days of waiting, I decided to take matters into my own hands and issue a chargeback through my credit card company. UK fronted website that scams you

My review for pier1.com UK fronted website that ships from China, but doesn't mention it. That's not even the worst part. Their payment gateway is also based in China, so unless you use Monzo or similar, you will get charged a foreign transaction fee after paying. But that's not even the worst part. Also your stuff won't even turn up, and you'll have to email a random @hotmail account to try and get a refund. I'll wait a few days and then issue a charge-back on my credit card. Scam.

Fraudulent website

My review for pier1.com pierone, or pier1, or pieronenl.com (I ordered from the dutch version of this site, all mentioned websites look the same) is fraudulent website. Like many other reviews, after my purchase I never received confirmation email, I tried to contact them, never got answer. Not only that, but it looks like they took my credit card details because I discovered I had number of transaction that I didn't make (investigation is ongoing now). So if you are lucky to read reviews before ordering from there- stay away from this site. If you unfortunately didn't read this, check your credit card activity for a few months period from the moment you used it there.

Extremely Disappointed

My review for pier1.com I ordered a fall wreath from Pier 1 and when I opened the box I could believe that I was charged over $80 for the cheapest looking merchandise!! I immediately requested a return label and a refund. Pier 1 does NOT give refunds any longer. You get a merchandise credit. What a disappointment. I will never purchase anything from them again. Pier 1 used to be a great place to shop. I guess if you like cheaply made decor and don’t mind not getting a full refund for your purchase then this is up your alley.

My review for pier1.com Absolutely frustrated that Pier 1 is ignoring my emails…it has been months since I paid $279 March 4, 2023 for a product that their app shows never shipped. Their system sends automated acknowledgements of receipt of my emails but no specific reply after that. If anyone is preparing a law suit, I’ll join in.

My review for pier1.com In Jan 2023, out of the blue, my husband started getting a $9.99 "membership" charge on his credit card for Pier 1. He's never bought anything from this retailer. Ever. We can't get a response from customer service. Phone number doesn't work. Email response, like others have said, is a generic form letter saying "We're really busy. We're looking into it." It's an auto-debit! No way to cancel online. No way to talk to a person. This company is obviously going down the bankruptcy hole but how they got my husband's card info is beyond me and pretty disturbing. CHECK YOUR BANK AND CARD STATEMENTS because it appears they're digging around in the digital couch cushions for a few extra quarters before going down in flames.
