In the future, Apple’s smartwatch will be able to automatically adjust and recognize its owner’s skin
Only a few days to go until the Apple event scheduled for September 10th, during which important announcements are scheduled. But among the previews in vogue during these last days, there is a piece of news published by Patently Apple that reveals us some news concerning the Apple Watch straps.
After that of the camera directly on the strap of the smartwatch, the company would have recently filed new patents that provide for important changes to the Apple watch which can self-adjust and include a biometric sensor and LED indicators.
In fact, it will not be only the Nike Adapt Huarache that will be connected by itself, but Apple’s watch could also be able to hug the wrist of the wearer automatically – through a motorized system – based on the activity performed or to notify in silence (vibrating) some actions to take: such as, for example, changing direction while using the Maps application.
A biometric authentication system could also be added, based on a sensor capable of detecting the texture and temperature of the skin surrounding the wrist and – working in a similar way to the Touch Id – could exempt the user from having to unlock the device with the methods already known.
Finally, useful LED’s could be added to provide information on the remaining capacity of the battery or a progress bar for ongoing activities. Obviously, since we are dealing with patents, we do not know when and if these innovations will actually reach the market.
