When I contacted customer support, they explained that the device enters a "self power" mode when turned off to continue functioning when my PC is off. I expressed my dissatisfaction with this feature and recommended a firmware update to remove it. Regrettably, their response fell silent, leaving me without a resolution for weeks. What's more, the device caused all connected USB and Thunderbolt devices to restart whenever one was connected or disconnected, which was definitely not supposed to happen. Despite my efforts to provide all necessary documentation, including the invoice of my purchase, the US department raised concerns regarding the device's serial number. In a surprising turn of events, they claimed the unit was associated with a stolen item. This revelation left me disheartened, as all I sought was a solution to repair my malfunctioning dock.
