I recently purchased 2 sets of glasses from Clearly.co.nz, and unfortunately, one pair arrived defective. Despite my excitement to try out my new glasses, the defective pair put a damper on my experience. I reached out to Clearly a day after receiving them in mid-December 2023 to report the issue. Initially, I was met with some challenges. I was informed that there was an internal IT issue causing delays in issuing a return voucher for the defective pair. This led to a frustrating cycle of communication for over two months, where I reached out to Clearly at least 6 times, only to encounter the same problem each time. However, what truly turned the situation around was Clearly's exceptional customer service. While the internal IT issues persisted, their representatives were consistently understanding, patient, and empathetic throughout our interactions. Despite the delays, they ensured I felt heard and valued as a customer. In the end, the issue was resolved, and I received a return voucher for the defective glasses. This experience, though challenging at times, highlighted Clearly's commitment to their customers' satisfaction and willingness to address and rectify issues, even amidst internal challenges. This unexpected delay forced me to purchase lenses from an optometrist, incurring additional costs for a necessary test. Just when I thought things couldn't get worse, on December 20th, I received an email stating that my order had to be canceled due to supply issues. The email assured me of a refund, yet only half of the amount was returned to me. Frustrated and disheartened, I tried to communicate with Clearly.co.nz multiple times to resolve the issue. However, their responses were scarce, further fueling my disappointment. It has been over a month since the cancellation, and I am still waiting for the remaining refund. The lack of transparency and timely communication has led me to take action by involving my bank to dispute the unresolved amount. Regrettably, this whole ordeal has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I have made the difficult decision not to patronize Clearly.co.nz in the future.
