I am truly touched by the incredible experience I had with drafthouse.com. My family and I recently visited the Westminster Colorado Alamo House for a movie outing. As two members of our group were in town on leave from the Navy before deployment, I really wanted to treat them to a special time. I purchased 10 tickets with the hope of creating lasting memories. While at the theater, a situation arose where a 16-year-old family member, who was running late from cheer practice, was denied entry upon her arrival. Despite the theater having a very small audience, including our group, and numerous staff members bustling about, the lack of compassion and understanding shown to her was truly disappointing. To make matters worse, our server placed an upside-down cross on our ticket, which only added to our dismay. We approached the manager to explain the situation, even mentioning that the 16-year-old would be left unaccompanied during the movie, but our appeals fell on deaf ears. The whole experience left us feeling disheartened, especially as we had been regular visitors to The Alamo House. The treatment we received was so upsetting that we have made the difficult decision not to return. Although we may only be six families, we were loyal patrons, and I believe our collective absence, coupled with my candid reviews, will undoubtedly be felt. I don't expect anything in return; I simply needed to express the deep disappointment we felt as a family.
