A Nightmarish Experience with Dynadot: Unlawful Control and Ignored Support
I decided to move all three of my domains from dynadot.com to porkbun.com over six months ago. To my astonishment, when I returned from Mexico, I found that dynadot was still listing the exact three domains I had transferred out of their control months earlier. I reached out to at least 5 different support personnel, providing them with emails and screenshots from my porkbun account clearly showing the transfer of my domains. However, each member of the support team disregarded the evidence and continued to assert dynadot's authority over my domains unlawfully. Not only did they ignore the fact that my domains had been moved, but dynadot also persistently sent me notices about the expiring domains, attempting to solicit payment for domains they no longer controlled or that were no longer hosted on their servers. To aggravate matters, they somehow managed to block my access using both Bitwarden and Keepass password safes. When I attempted to engage in a chat with their AI, I was prompted to select a choice from a list that did not exist, leaving me helpless and frustrated. Despite numerous attempts to communicate my issue, the responses from dynadot were out of touch with my concerns. It became clear to me that dynadot was unlawfully manipulating and attempting to extract money for domains that no longer resided under their jurisdiction, a truly distressing and violating experience. Admins at dynadot, please understand that this has nothing to do with any previous communication or response from your end. The key issue here is that dynadot unlawfully and blatantly pretended to still have control over domains that had been transferred more than 7 months ago, causing undue distress and frustration. K
