Double booked me and refuse to refund

My review for flytap.com In my opinion, Tap Portugal is a low cost and flies routes no one else wants to fly. So I don't await much from their planes, staff and services. But their booking process and refund policies are even worse. They charged me full price but only half of the booking went through. I had to pay again. I requested the refund for the previous booking. I am still waiting for the refund and I am pretty sure I will never receive it without a lawyer. Phone support is useless and asks to submit everything online. Online support never replies. The flight was in August 2023, now it's February 2024.

New suitcase damage

My review for flytap.com I traveled with a new medium suitcase, however my suitcase arrived at the destination damaged, TSA and broken zippers. Tap reported that the product was wear and tear from use. I will never fly with this airline again, they broke my suitcase on purpose and now I have a new unusable suitcase.

Appalling customer service

My review for flytap.com I booked two return tickets from Toulouse to Funchal with TAP Air for my wife and me. When the tickets were issues they both had my name on. I contacted TAP Air customer services and was told I would have to cancel one of the tickets and re-book. I will lose the cost of the ticket. This issue was caused by TAP Air's defective booking system, not by an error on my part. This is appalling customer service. My advice to anyone considering booking with TAP Air is to avoid this company. They have no idea how to treat their customers. I am absolutely disgusted.

The staff insisted that my bag was oversized and attempted to coerce me into placing it in the cargo hold. TAP Portugal are crooks

My review for flytap.com Booked flights on the basis that it can be cancelled within 24hrs for a full cash refund. Agent although could not redirect me to this policy said he is making a note on the system and promises me that any issues i can use the 'protocol' number he will provide me to ensure this is done. Within 24hrs i call up as i see flights cheaper. Next agent say i cannot have cash refund and only vouchers will be issued even though agent told me wrong information and then put the phone down. I call up several times and all the agents are rude and continue to put the phone down and say they cant do anything about it. This company are crooks, they take your money make false promises and leave you to hang dry. avoid them at all costs, Prices are a totally rip off too!

TAP ? Avoid this failed company

My review for flytap.com TAP cancelled my flight to Barcelona in July 2022. I was only flying with them because the previous year, on a stop-over in Lisbon from Gran Canaria to London, they said there was no plane for the onward flight, walked away and simply left us there overnight. When I finally got compensation I foolishly took it in vouchers rather than cash so had to use them again. And again they failed. The July 2022 flight was cancelled and I applied for the compensation due. I emailed, phoned, DMd, posted letters to their Chief Exec, but for a year they ignored me, tried to mislead me, and lied to me. I appealed to Aviation ADR (set up by the UK Civil Aviation Authority), TAP refused to engage with them, but ADR forced them to pay the £220 owed which I finally received on January 23rd this year. It hardly compensates for all the time I've wasted pursuing them. This is a rogue company, its systems are broken, its staff trained to avoid any responsibility. I would never feel safe flying with them again. The company is insolvent, but allowed to keep flying with passengers bearing the consequences. The sooner it loses its licence to operate in the UK, the better for all concerned.

Simply the worst

My review for flytap.com Simply the worst. Still waiting for a refund of the taxi I had to take home because a delay in their flight. There was another way of solving the problem but the company didn't want to. Or I payed a taxi to get home or a sleept on the street (in December) to get home. More then a month now and no answer from the company. Phone several times and it doesn't exist a direct line to get me an answer. It's always the same blah blah "I understand but you have to be patient sir" I'm supposed to finance personally for the incompetence of that company?

Horrendous customer service

My review for flytap.com I payed good money for an economy plus (a few centimeters extra) seat because of an previous injury. However, the seat did not extend all the way back, thus not getting the extra space on a night flight. (8.30 hours) the steward said there was a seat in economy. Because I was travelling with my partner this did not sound like a solution but more like downgrade. The steward said to contact the customer service for a refund after the flight. I did this in hope to get a refund or compensation. I explained the whole situation and the response of Anna Pflieger were like she wasn't even reading the mail but just typing (copy/paste) standarized sentences and not answering any of my questions. This was most infuriating. Example:Thank you for contacting TAP Air Portugal. We are sorry for the situation you reported. Please do not hesitate to contact us whenever you consider it relevant. The worst

My review for flytap.com I’m ashamed this is the airline that represents my country. Customer service is awful, they speak to you like you’re either a child or a very unintelligent person. Airplane service is overall one of the worst ones, a low cost company treats you better. I will never fly again in TAP

Very poor customer service and…

My review for flytap.com Very poor customer service and complaint dept is also unresponsive. We had to cancel within 24 hours after booking, I contacted the customer to understand the refund procedure and I was told they would refund 100%. However, I only received 10% of the payment. I contacted them again, and they further explained that I should have chosen to receive it via voucher. I have trying to contact them for 2 weeks and the customer service asked me to raise another and another complaint, but they never reply. This is very disappointing and frustrating.

No to service dog.

My review for flytap.com First they write me that I can bring my service dog no problem, then they write me that they need additional information, I send the info they say they didn't receive it and customer service is very unhelpful and rude. My guess is that they just don't want service dogs like the rest of Portugal.
