A Disappointing Experience with FSBO.com: My Unfulfilled Expectations

I cannot emphasize enough how disappointed I am with my experience using FSBO.com to list my 2022 Winnebago Hike H170S. I went into this with high hopes, having paid over $500 to ensure a smooth process, only to be met with frustration and substandard customer service. From the moment I made my payment in October 2022, the ordeal began. Despite numerous attempts to seek updates on the status of my listing, I was met with a series of excuses. My sales representative was always conveniently unavailable, citing internet issues, illness, or a lack of access to my information. Promised return calls and status updates never materialized, leaving me in the dark about the progress of my listing. My interactions with a representative named "Staci" only added to my skepticism about the company's credibility. It felt questionable whether she genuinely worked for the company, further deepening my doubts about FSBO.com's integrity. Feeling utterly let down by the entire experience, I made the decision to request the immediate removal of my RV from their platform. To my dismay, this request was met with complete silence. Not a single response or acknowledgment was received, leaving me feeling utterly disregarded. Regrettably, I find myself in the position of involving my attorney to address this matter, as the lack of professionalism and accountability displayed by FSBO.com is simply unacceptable. In sharing my story, I hope to caution others considering using FSBO.com. My sincere advice would be to proceed with caution, as my experience has been nothing short of disheartening.

Turning Misfortune into Empowerment: My Candid Experience with FSBO

After stumbling upon FSBO.com, I hoped to swiftly sell my 2022 Winnebago Hike H170S and make room for new adventures. Excited, I paid over $500 to list my RV in October 2022, anticipating a seamless process. However, the reality was a far cry from my expectations. The disappointing saga began with sporadic excuses from the customer service representatives, notably "Staci," who left me stranded in a sea of unfulfilled promises. Every attempt to seek updates on the progress of my listing was met with elaborate tales of technical difficulties and unavailability. As I reached my breaking point in January 2023, I mustered the courage to demand the removal of my RV from their platform. In a heartfelt email dripping with frustration, I expressed my grievances and withdrew permission for FSBO to represent me further. Despite providing a deadline for the closure of my account, the deafening silence that followed was deafening. This lack of acknowledgment from FSBO only fueled my growing doubts about the company's credibility. Yet, amidst the disappointment and unanswered inquiries, a silver lining emerged. I chose to share my experience with my attorney, using the email as evidence of the company's neglect. This act of advocacy marked a pivotal moment where I transformed a disheartening encounter into an empowering lesson. While my journey with FSBO ended on a sour note, the resilience and assertiveness it ignited within me will continue to guide my future endeavors. The experience, though marred with setbacks, taught me the importance of standing up for myself and seeking transparency in all my interactions. In retrospect, my time with FSBO may not have yielded the desired outcome, but the lessons learned and the strength gained are invaluable. As I bid adieu to this chapter, I do so with a renewed sense of empowerment and a steely resolve to navigate future ventures with unwavering determination.

Beware of hidden charges

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with FSBO.com. The initial setup was seamless, and I was thrilled with the ease of the process. However, when it came time to hand off my listing to the selected broker for the MLS listing, I encountered a small hiccup. The broker requested my credit card information before proceeding with the listing, despite having already paid the full fee to FSBO.com for the service plan I had chosen. Feeling hesitant, I questioned the need for this information, and the broker likened it to leaving a credit card at a hotel for incidental charges. This explanation didn't sit right with me. After all, in the online world, we only provide credit card details when we choose to make additional purchases, not as a precautionary measure. With some apprehension, I reached out to FSBO, and to their credit, they promptly refunded the charge. While I ultimately received the resolution I was hoping for, I want to caution others to be mindful of potential additional charges beyond what is initially communicated. All in all, I am grateful for the swift action taken by FSBO.com, but this experience has certainly made me more cautious when navigating similar transactions in the future. It's essential to stay vigilant and ask questions to ensure complete transparency. Thank you, FSBO.com, for addressing my concerns and providing the necessary assistance.

Transparency and Trust: A Genuine Testimonial for FSBO.com

Let me take a moment to share my experience with FSBO.com, a platform I initially found remarkably easy to navigate and set up. However, my journey took an unexpected turn during the transition to the selected broker for MLS listing services. Upon reaching out to the assigned realtor, I was surprised to be asked for my credit card details before my property could be listed on the MLS. This request came despite the fact that I had already paid the full fee for the service plan to FSBO.com. Feeling hesitant, I questioned the need for this additional information. The realtor's explanation likened the situation to leaving a credit card at a hotel for incidental charges. However, I couldn't shake off the feeling of uncertainty. Why was my credit card information necessary upfront, especially when I had not consented to any extra services or purchases? Although FSBO.com promptly refunded my charge upon escalation, this encounter left me cautious and questioning the transparency of the process. While I appreciated the eventual resolution, the initial lack of clarity regarding hidden charges was concerning. As a customer valuing transparency and trust, I urge others to approach FSBO.com with awareness of potential undisclosed fees and to seek clarification to ensure a seamless and honest real estate experience.
