Old Fruit Market – Don’t Get Upstairs Tickets
As a passionate music enthusiast, I recently had the pleasure of attending a concert at the Old Fruit Market in Glasgow, and I must say that while the venue exuded an undeniable charm, my experience was dampened by the seating arrangement. Despite purchasing upstairs tickets, I found myself among the unfortunate few who struggled to catch a glimpse of the mesmerizing performance by Weyes Blood. Approximately 30 of us were left disheartened, as the over-subscribed upstairs area made it nearly impossible to enjoy the show. The view from near the railing was indeed breathtaking, but for those positioned farther back, including myself, the security team's continuous insistence on creating clear passage ways left us constantly nudged further away from the stage, eventually rendering it almost invisible. I understand and appreciate the importance of safety and accessibility, but it was disheartening to miss out on the full experience due to the limitations of the upstairs section. As an ardent fan of live music, I hope that the management considers revising the upstairs capacity to ensure that every concertgoer can savor the magic of the performances without any obstructed views or discomfort. Despite this setback, the overall ambiance of the Old Fruit Market and the brilliance of the artist made the evening memorable. I sincerely hope that my feedback is received constructively and contributes to enhancing the experience for future patrons. R

Unforgettable Experience at Old Fruit Market: A Lesson in Ticket Choices
Exploring the vibrant music scene in Glasgow, I recently attended a show at the renowned Old Fruit Market. While the venue itself exuded charm and character, my choice of "Don't Get Upstairs Tickets" left me with a bittersweet memory. Despite the allure of a unique perspective from the upper level, the reality unfolded quite differently. Upon arrival, it became evident that the upstairs area was oversubscribed, leading to a situation where a significant portion of the audience, myself included, struggled to catch a glimpse of the performance. As the mesmerizing notes of Weyes Blood filled the venue, approximately 30 of us found ourselves in a precarious position of being unable to fully appreciate the artist due to our distant vantage point. While those fortunate enough to secure a spot by the railing enjoyed an unobstructed view, the rest of us faced repeated requests from the diligent security team to step back, ultimately obstructing our view further. The necessity to maintain clear passageways for safety understandably took precedence, yet it hindered the overall concert experience for many attendees. Despite the challenges faced with the ticket selection, I must acknowledge the professionalism of the staff and the undeniable charm of the Old Fruit Market. The ambiance and acoustics of the venue added a special touch to the evening, offering a glimpse into Glasgow's rich cultural heritage. In hindsight, this experience serves as a lesson in the importance of strategic ticket choices when attending events at the Old Fruit Market. Opting for seats with proximity to the stage or ensuring timely arrival to secure desired vantage points can significantly enhance one's enjoyment of the performance. While my view may have been obstructed that evening, the memory of the music and the vibrant atmosphere of the Old Fruit Market will linger on, reminding me of the intricate dance between anticipation and experience in the world of live entertainment.
