I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Villa Levanta (Lavender) in Rhodes, booked through jamesvillas.co.uk. As I sat back into it, the fixing gave way, causing the chair to drop to the ground and the heavy chain to hit me on the face and neck. This resulted in bruises, back pain, and a cut on my nose. I believe that the expandable fixing had worked its way loose, and it was only being held by one M12 bolt, which, in my opinion, would not meet British H&S regulations. Additionally, the shower was not in the best working order. The rain shower sprayed water everywhere, and the other adjustable shower head was held up with a cable tie and blocked by calcium deposits due to the hardness of the water. Furthermore, there was a building site behind the villa where new residences were being constructed. The construction noise, which started early in the morning, was quite disruptive and something that future guests should be aware of. Despite these issues, I must say that Rhodes itself is absolutely worth a visit. The island is beautiful and has so much to offer. In conclusion, while my stay at Villa Levanta (Lavender) had its challenges, the beauty of Rhodes and the potential of the villa make it a place I would consider returning to in the future.
