THEY STEAL MONEY AT CHECK IN
My review for jazeeraairways.com Good evening, I am an Italian travel agent for work/holidays in Riyadh. I decided to come and visit Kuwait, I booked a flight with you, I wanted to check in my 14kg hold baggage but on your site you wrote that I had to do it at the airport. I arrived at your counter in terminal two of Riyadh, in addition to finding a rude and incompetent person in front of me, he made me pay 105 euros for my 14kg cabin trolley baggage!!! more than the return flight ticket, if I knew this price I would leave my luggage at the hotel since I have to return to Riyadh. In my opinion this is a CALCULATED THEFT, because you don't inform passengers of the cost they will incur when booking the flight, if you needed money, it's not the way to cheat people. I ask you for reimbursement for this theft, because when I return to the office in Italy I have the right means to give you bad publicity for your company in Europe. Not a good company
As a frequent traveler, I value comfort and convenience when flying. That's why I was thrilled to discover Jazeera Airways for my recent trip. Standing at 185cm tall, I typically find it challenging to find enough legroom on flights. Despite not booking an extra legroom seat, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the flight was nearly empty, with only a few passengers on board. Excited by the prospect of more space, I approached the staff to inquire about moving to the empty emergency row seat. To my disappointment, I was asked to pay for the seat upgrade, even though the row was unoccupied. As a seasoned traveler, I understand the necessity of booking extra legroom seats. However, the inflexibility displayed by the staff left me disheartened. Their unwillingness to accommodate a simple request and the lack of empathy was truly disheartening. Having had a fair share of travel experiences, I firmly believe that exceptional customer service can make or break an airline. Unfortunately, the staff's demeanor on this particular flight fell short of my expectations, and the experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Regrettably, I don't see myself choosing Jazeera Airways for my future travels. I received an email notifying me of a schedule change, but it failed to explicitly state that my original flight had been cancelled, and I was rebooked on a flight five days later. The email also neglected to provide any information about my options for a refund or cancellation. Attempting to reach out to Jazeera Airways via email proved futile, as I never received any responses to my inquiries. Frustrated and seeking a resolution, I turned to their website in hopes of cancelling my flight and obtaining a refund. Turning to their WhatsApp chat service, I encountered further obstacles as the chat bot consistently steered me away from speaking with a human representative. In one particularly exasperating exchange, the chat bot erroneously processed a cancellation with a penalty, despite my never consenting to such an action. Desperate for a solution, I reached out to Jazeera Airways' Kuwait-based call center, enduring a lengthy international call only to be advised to wait for a response that never materialized. Subsequent emails met a similar fate, as my attempts to elicit a meaningful response from the airline went unanswered. With my travel plans in disarray and my patience wearing thin, I found myself in Egypt a month later, where I was forced to personally visit the Jazeera Airways office in Luxor. This unplanned detour consumed valuable time from my trip, time that I had hoped to spend exploring and enjoying the sights and sounds of this ancient land. Only after extensive effort, including gathering video evidence of my complaint, was I able to secure a refund, albeit after enduring considerable inconvenience and financial loss due to fluctuating exchange rates over the two months between booking and the eventual refund. In addition to this regrettable experience, I had previously flown with Jazeera Airways from London to India. Unfortunately, the long-haul flight was marred by discomfort due to the inadequate cabin conditions, further souring my impression of the airline. Reflecting on these encounters, I cannot help but emphasize the importance of transparency, communication, and customer support in the airline industry. Regrettably, my experience with Jazeera Airways fell short in these crucial areas, leaving me wary and disheartened. Avoid this airline, if possible
My review for jazeeraairways.com Avoid this airline, If possible. Especially avoid booking directly with the airline website. I live in the UK. They cancelled the flights I had booked from Luxor (Egypt) to Amman (Jordan). The litany of issues I faced were:1. They sent an email with text pretending to be a schedule change. It was not clear that they had cancelled the flight from Luxor and the moved us to the next flight 5 days after our original departure date. That email mentioned nothing about my options to cancel and get a refund.2. Emailing them did not help. I never got any replies.3. I went to their website, where I was given an option to cancel flight and get full refund. I clicked on that but nothing happened. Later on I was not even presented with this option.4. I tried to use their WhatsApp chat service (using two different WhatsApp accounts). Their chat bot would never let me connect to a human to discuss my issue. In one conversation their chat bot cancelled my tickets with a penalty even though I had never agreed to such a cancellation5. Calling their Kuwait-based call centre also did not help. International Call lasted 30min but the person on the other side advised me to wait for a response. This response never came. Further emails also did not get any response from the airline.6. A month later I was in Egypt for my 7 day trip. To resolve this issue, I had to go to the Jazeera Airways office in Luxor in person and spend hours of my time that otherwise would have been spent on tourism. Only after visiting their office in person and taking video evidence of the complaint that I got my money back! Given all this delay, I also lost money due to changes in the exchange rate (roughly 2 months between booking and the refund)Previously, I have flown from London to India when they flew to the UK. In November 2021, I had an upsetting experience with a Dhaka to London flight. Although I had received my double vaccination certificate, I was denied check-in at the Dhaka airport because I didn't have a PCR test. Despite trying to contact customer service for assistance, I faced difficulty reaching them as it was not within their operating hours. The situation became even more frustrating when the person in charge at the Dhaka airport falsely accused me of not carrying my ID and vaccine certificate – an outright lie considering my extensive 15 years of travel experience. To add to the ordeal, when I requested a refund, they refused, leaving me with no option but to dispute the transaction with my credit card company. Fortunately, I finally received a refund after several months of back-and-forth. The most disappointing aspect of this entire episode was the lack of accountability from the airline – they took no action against the individual responsible for the mistake, leaving me feeling unheard and undervalued as a customer. As a seasoned traveler, this was an incredibly disheartening experience. It's safe to say that I will not be choosing this airline for future travel, nor will I recommend it to my family and friends. The disregard for customer satisfaction and the mishandling of the situation has left a lasting impression on me, and I hope this feedback encourages the airline to reevaluate their customer service and accountability measures. I can't even begin to describe the frustration and disappointment I felt when my flights were canceled due to the pandemic last year.
