Horrible Company

My review for 81stgeneration.com I have given this company two stars because I have had a good and very bad experience with them. I recently purchased a bangle from them and emailed them prior to purchase to ask for the size. As it was the correct fit I purchased it. After a few wears the bangle is bent - it is flimsy, thin and looks like it is ready to snap. I informed the company, sent them photographs and asked for advice. My response was that they would offer me a 20% discount towards another item (that discount is available online to everyone) as a gesture of good will. The bangle was not cheap and a 20% discount is unacceptable. I supported their business, but they're not prepared to support their customers. They said it was outside of the 30 day refund period, but a bangle is not a daily wear item and it couldn't have been predicted - their reasonings are a cop out and show a complete disregard for their customers. They said that they would contact me regarding the email that I sent about the size of the bangle, and I've not heard anything from them. I also never received an apology. What upsets me is that I had made previous purchases, and by doing so supported their business but this was not reciprocated. I have found another company that sells some of the same jewellery that I like and their customer service is first class, so too are their prices. I will never use 81st generation again. Shame on them.
