To remove it one has to cut down one side of the very large box and use a large knife to remove the product from the foam. I could not use a plant this size so I contacted the firm. I was told that all bonsai plant sizes are approximate which I can understand, but the plant I received was not even close to what I expected. I was told that I could return it with their prepaid shipping label. However, I would have to purchase packing materials and return it in a "saleable condition" which would be almost impossible short of paying to have it professionally packed. The burden is on the consumer to return something that was a mistake on the part of the provider. I do NOT recommend that you purchase from this company.
