Don’t Need Furniture, Want the Run-Around for Months???

My review for ashleyfurniture.com We are still trying to get Ashley's to provide us with matching furniture for 3 pieces as well as fix three others that were assembled incorrectly by their delivery team because no directions were provided since 11.24.23!!!!! After a plethora of calls to customer service, conversations with chatbots, multiple incorrect deliveries, visits by "technician" who did nothing but write up a report and leave, visits to their AHS Fiesta, San Antonio, TX location where a rather large purchase was made as well as chats with very nice sales people that have absolutely no authority something must change. None of these areas communicate (at least not well) to each other or understand the other's processes - if they even have them. There are no managers in-store that have the authority to actually make decisions - they are all remote! That is just not good business and in the end does not save the company money. My next steps will be to contact several local news stations, the Consumer Protection Agency and Attorney General for the State and hopefully gain some attention to this issue. It is unacceptable that consumers are expected to provide information for credit checks and abide by background checks or be subjected to damage to their financial portfolio history for up to 7 years. However this same sort of standard of permanent and potentially damaging credit/background check documentation and review isn't available for consumers to use at their discretion. Companies freely use background checks and credit histories for purchases, job applications, housing, and so much more. However, they boldly and continuously take our money with no regard for the whether they can actually provide the service or product that was contracted for, clearly have bad reviews on multiple reputable online sites (e.g., see Trustpilot and BBB Customer Review Rating of 1.08/5 with an A+ rating ???) and NOTHING happens to them. Ashley's has been allowed to continue doing business as usual with little to no repercussions. There is no real deterrent for them to change and no real protection for the consumer - if there were something should have occurred before now to initiate a change. Boy do I miss Ralph Nader :(
