To add insult to injury, our experience was further marred by the unpleasant attitude of our waitress, whose demeanor could rival that of a sour lemon, and the duty manager, who seemed to be rehearsing for a role as a circus clown with their unprofessional behavior. Amidst the chaos of mishaps, the duty manager even stooped so low as to bully a couple of young customers, painting a grim picture of the establishment's values and customer service standards. This unfortunate sequence of events marked the second time in a single weekend that we encountered such appalling service, leaving a bitter taste that overshadowed any appetite we had mustered. My review for beefeater.co.uk The full breakfast quality has gone downhill this is the 3rd time I have had to send back half cooked sausages and hash browns with raw potatoe inside , plus the cooked breakfast is Luke warm. It’s no good replacing the uncooked food while the remainder of breakfast is going cold, the whole lot should be replaced and they need to get a different supply of sausages as to grainy. My review for beefeater.co.uk Beefeater, Livingston. We went in for a meal as we haven't been there for years. We tried to book via the phone but got answered by AI. No staff anywhere in sight when we went in. I though about getting the burger. It is described as follows; "Our special ’74 burgers are a mix of short rib, chuck, flank, and bone marrow to help give a rich-tasting, meaty flavour. All served in a brioche-style bun with lettuce,tomatoes, and red onion, with fries and house slaw". 'Bone marrow' and 'Chuck'. I looked up chuck to see what it was, and it's belly muscle. "Also Known As: Boneless Chuck Fillet Steak, Boneless Chuck Slices, Flank Steak: Definition: The flank steak is technically not a steak, but has become so popular in the last few decades that it can't be ignored. The flank is the belly muscle of the cow and is typically cut into small pieces". Or there was a 'plant based option'. This is the rubbish we are expected to eat now. No more 100% Beef burgers - just ground up bone and muscle. We decided against eating there and won't be going back. P

The drinks and food were reasonably priced, and the quality was superb. I felt right at home in this more homely and grown-up establishment.
