My review for bluehost.com INSUFFERABLE sums up Bluehost nicely. ZERO support from a very untrained, unprofessional, unhelpful staff. You'll pay for services you can't ever render. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT use them as your hosting service as that's a hot SLOW mess. I honestly recommend using absolutely ANYONE other than this sham of a company. B

Workaround for an astronomical hosting rate increase
My review for bluehost.com The initial call center staff was unable to solve the problem that my hosting rate had increased by more than 4x. After transferring to her manager, Carl N., I learned I could switch to a lower rate hosting plan. He transferred my files from the old plan to the new one and transferred my domain name. He was very patient and helped me navigate the web site to set the new plan up. The new plan is still 24% more expensive, but that is better than 405%. I spent 1 hour 20 minutes on the phone. P

My review for bluehost.com Carl was the third person we talked to about our issue. Unlike the others, Carl was willing to listen to what we were seeing. The others said, essentially, that they didn't see a problem therefore there wasn't one. Carl listened to what we were seeing and took the time and effort to dig further into the symptoms and ultimately solved the problem. While Carl did very well, the previous two were not as helpful. I was the director of an international IT team. I trained our user support staff to NEVER tell a user that the problem was with them or their configuration. When a user has a problem, YOU have a problem and the problem doesn't go away by simply saying, "It work for me, it must be fine." The metrics by which support staff are measured must be solving the problem to the user's satisfaction NOT how quickly the representative can get rid of the user. Please consider training your first line staff to listen when a user says they have a problem (even if the staff doesn't see it) and to dig deeper to figure out what the problem is and how to solve it. J

I’ve been a customer for 2 years
My review for bluehost.com I've been a customer for 2 years. They deleted my account because my credit card number changed and payment failed. Sales guy promised that they would restore my site after I signed back up. They didn't. Took 21 days of calling and chatting every single day... and the chat feature on the site disconnects you after 30 seconds of inactivity. Everyone in the support team is "not trained" to do anything meaningful. Total s&*t show. That said, I finally reached a very capable manager, Mariel, who took ownership of the problem and saw it through to completion despite my very frustrated tone. Great job Mariel. L

Migrating our website to Bluehost from a different hosting provider has proved challenging and Bluehost has helped every step of the way. Their Customer Support is excellent because you can talk with someone. I am a novice website builder and they have been critical in helping me get two websites up and running. Jay was fantastic. He had a great idea to clone our migrated website to work on it while the original remained up and running. L

My review for bluehost.com WhIle the person I spoke to did manage to fix some of the issues, I was still left with a broken website, which I now have to rebuild from scratch as I had to reset the website. I am a newbie at website building, which made the BH Website Builder a perfect choice- intuitive, easy to understand, responsive. I have not yet been able to find anything close to the ease of use as BH Website Builder, so my website is currently down. So, I am paying for hosting time that I am not able use as my website is non-functioning right now. B
