Claim of full Telstra network coverage in an absolute farce

I recently made the switch to Boost mobile after being enticed by their claim of full Telstra network coverage. As a regular long-distance driver, having reliable mobile coverage for navigational apps and music streaming is a must for me. My previous provider, Optus, had provided coverage for about 90% of my regular Canberra to Adelaide trip, so I was hopeful that Boost's use of the Telstra network would fill in the remaining gaps. However, my first trip to Adelaide with Boost was a disappointing experience. I was shocked to find that I had mobile coverage for less than 10% of the trip. There was no coverage along the Hume Freeway, and only sporadic coverage in a few towns between Wagga and Adelaide. This was a stark contrast to the consistent coverage I had experienced with Optus along these routes. Despite passing what I knew to be regular Telstra towers and having always had Optus coverage in these sections, Boost's claim of full Telstra coverage did not hold true for me. It was frustrating and inconvenient, to say the least. As a result, I have made the decision to switch back to Optus. I am also considering reporting my experience to the Telecommunications Ombudsman, complete with evidence in the form of screen shots. In summary, my experience with Boost's claim of full Telstra coverage was disappointing and not reflective of my actual coverage experience. For anyone considering a switch to Boost for the same reason, I would advise exercising caution and perhaps seeking further clarity on their network coverage claims. Overall, I had high hopes for Boost and their Telstra network coverage claim, but unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations.
