Horrible customer support

My review for coursera.org Horrible customer support. They make it impossible to reach them and report a bug on their website. When you finally find a way to report the bug, they send you the same template email over and over telling you to update your browser etc., without bothering to read the former emails.

Total scam

My review for coursera.org Total scam! Stay away or you’ll be broke! They give you a free trial of 14 days. Every other NORMAL company send you a mail warning free trial is over and they will charge. Coursera doesn’t they don’t care and charge and you can’t even get your money back if you’re not in time. Total ripoff please stay away from this scam!

Cancellation scam artists

My review for coursera.org Cancellation scam artists. They continue billing even after I canceled with them directly on the phone during the initial dispute. Have checked my payment methods and my credit card is no longer stored yet. They can keep billing it somehow. Have verified all my subscriptions were canceled back in September. They continue to build through February. I've contacted them through their website, but I'm unable to chat with anything other than the bot. The only thing I've been able to do is dispute the charges each month with my credit card company. Of course Sarah should be shut down thieves liars scam artists.

Website is a disgrace

My review for coursera.org Website is a disgrace, the navigation goes in circles. They have charged me £35 in spite of me cancelling the free trial long before it expired. They have deliberately made it difficult to contact them to have this corrected. I am looking into options to take further action, definitely avoid this mob.

Greedy, unreliable company

My review for coursera.org Without notification, they charged me for renewal, an exorbitant price considering the poor quality of some courses. (Most annual subscriptions notify at least 2 weeks before renewal.) Renewal was Jan 31 2024. Terms state that a subscriber has 14 days to request a refund. On Feb 1, 3, 4, signed in and went to my account. It said, "Not eligible for refund." This is not a reliable company.

Resolving Unauthorized Charges Through Exceptional Customer Service

I recently encountered an unfortunate situation with Coursera, where I was billed $400 without prior authorization. Understandably, I was deeply concerned about this unexpected charge and the lack of communication. It left me feeling frustrated and uncertain about how to address the issue. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the swift and understanding response from Coursera's customer service team. Despite my initial distress, the representative I spoke with approached the situation with empathy and professionalism. They actively listened to my concerns and worked diligently to resolve the matter. Through their dedicated efforts, the unauthorized charge was promptly addressed, and I received a full refund without any further complications. The level of support and assistance I received during this process truly exceeded my expectations, and it reaffirmed my confidence in Coursera as a reputable and customer-focused platform. While the initial experience was disconcerting, the exceptional customer service ultimately turned it into a positive interaction. Coursera's commitment to resolving issues and prioritizing customer satisfaction left a lasting impression on me. I commend their team for their diligent efforts and commendable service. In conclusion, despite the initial billing issue, the exceptional resolution and customer service displayed by Coursera reaffirmed my trust and confidence in their platform. Thank you, Coursera, for valuing your customers and ensuring a positive outcome in challenging situations.

Coursera sucks

My review for coursera.org Coursera sucks. Will never be using again. I canceled my subscription a while back, but am seeing a pending charge for today. Trying to reach them is futile, so I'm leaving this comment in the meantime. Stay away from them, you're better off at Study.com.

Stay away unless you want to pay

My review for coursera.org Stay away unless you want to pay. Even courses that are advertised as free you have to pay for or get "financial aid" better off going to the sites and universities that actually offer these courses. cut out the middle man.

Poor customer experience

My review for coursera.org Built to make you spend as much money as possible, instead of focusing on instruction. I won't spend a dollar again on this platform.

Poor and inflexible service

My review for coursera.org Extremely poor customer service that deliberately remain vague and stall when responding to your questions, whether it's about technical questions about the site or about the subscription you're paying. They're so inflexible that they've put me off finishing a couple of courses. It just isn't worth the headache of dealing with them anymore.

I am one of many who was deceived by…

My review for coursera.org I am one of many who was deceived by Coursera regarding money. They advertised their service as if one could try it for free for a week. After using the service for three days, I realized it wasn't suitable for me. Despite canceling the service, Coursera still withdrew money from my account. They act unprofessionally and didn't even respond to my emails.

Amazing experience so far

My review for coursera.org Amazing so far. Signed up using the new year promo and paid £160ish for Coursera plus annual plan. Important to note not all courses are available for Coursera plus, but again for anyone learning new skills it's great place where to start and gain basic to intermediate technical skills. To advance further you must work on your own projects , more time you put in ,more you will get out of this. Way too many 1 star reviews about payment issues, it's almost as Coursera payment system is completely dysfunctional (which is hard to believe) or people just can't read T&C.

Pretty Bad

My review for coursera.org First of all, they put a fake contract phone number online. Second I was doing an Excel class and the Excel sheet will no longer open to follow along with the assignment. Do these people know what tech support is or that there site has horrible tech bugs? Great instructor who actually speaks English. Was actually learning til their website complete crapped out. This id how you operate a professional company? Ok then, well then enjoy another bad review.

A Disheartening Experience with Coursera.org: My Honest Review

I recently had an extremely disheartening experience with Coursera.org, and I feel compelled to share my honest feedback. I was lured in by their offers for discounts, only to discover that they were not honored upon subscription. This bait-and-switch tactic left me feeling exasperated and deceived, especially after encountering it multiple times over the past two years. Furthermore, the inability to reach a live person for assistance added to my frustration. It's incredibly taxing to deal with issues and not have the option to speak to a real human being for support and clarification. I believe that this lack of personalized assistance severely detracted from my overall experience with the platform. Even more concerning is the fact that whether or not I had engaged with the course content, I found myself locked into regular pricing or faced with a doubled cost upon cancellation. This inflexibility and seeming disregard for customer satisfaction left me feeling undervalued as a learner. Despite the commendable variety of courses available on Coursera.org, I cannot overlook the negative aspects of my experience. As a result, I strongly urge others to explore alternative options for online learning and certification. If possible, I recommend seeking out courses offered directly by colleges or other reputable organizations. In conclusion, while Coursera.org certainly boasts a wide range of courses, my personal encounter has left me disillusioned. I firmly believe that there are superior alternatives for individuals seeking quality online education. This platform, unfortunately, did not live up to my expectations, and I hope that others will consider my experience before committing to their services.
