FLIR One Pro LT Review: Beware of Faulty Products and Poor Customer Support
I had high hopes when I purchased the FLIR One Pro LT thermal camera for my Android device in November 2022. However, my experience with this product has been nothing short of disappointing. The camera failed to function on any of the Android devices I tried, including the ASUS Zenfone 9 with Android 13, Google Pixel 7 with Android 13, ASUS Zenfone 5 with Android 10, Samsung A5 2017 with Android 7, and ASUS Chromebook CMA3000DVA. It only saved movies on one device and no pictures on others, rendering it effectively useless. Not only did the camera suffer from low resolution and an insecure physical connection to USB, but the battery management system also proved to be poorly designed. The "high self-discharge after turned off" feature meant that I had to wait for 2 hours for the device to charge before every use, making it impractical for urgent situations. To make matters worse, when I reached out to FLIR Systems for support, I was met with arrogance and unreasonable demands. They refused to acknowledge the faults in their product and insisted that I provide proof of its malfunction on multiple devices, even though I had already demonstrated its failures on various Android models. Their reluctance to take responsibility for their faulty product and their lack of cooperation only added to my frustration. After 8 months of dealing with a defective thermal camera and unhelpful customer support, I am no closer to a resolution. It has become clear to me that FLIR is more interested in evading responsibility than in ensuring customer satisfaction. I am now considering reporting them to the authorities for violating consumer laws. In conclusion, I urge others to be cautious when considering FLIR products. My experience serves as a cautionary tale, and I hope that others can avoid the frustration and disappointment that I have endured. I
