To add to the frustration, we received the notification of the cancellation very late, at 00:46 on the day of travel. It was incredibly disheartening to discover that the initial train was still available after being informed otherwise. Subsequently, we were forced to purchase the exact same train tickets again, incurring an additional cost of 500.68 SEK. It was a disappointing and unexpected expense that significantly impacted our travel plans. Our disappointment did not end there. On July 19, during the first part of our trip from Gothenburg to Stockholm, Flixbus changed our reservation multiple times the night before the journey. As a result, we lost our assigned seats and ended up in the last row of the last wagon. While the train attendant was kind and the overall ride quality was decent, the constant changes and last-minute disruptions were immensely frustrating. I couldn't help but feel that these experiences were guided by more than mere coincidence; the substantial increase in ticket prices after my initial booking, combined with the repeated disruptions, led me to believe that Flixbus may have been attempting to extract more money from us.
