The scheduled fitting on 5th June unraveled a new setback – the greenhouse was incomplete and could not be assembled as planned. The subsequent revelation that the greenhouse wouldn't fit on the base provided, despite following the dimensions provided by greenhouses.com, added to the mounting frustrations. Navigating through a maze of miscommunication, I found myself battling not just with logistical issues but also with personal struggles of anxiety and depression. As I prepared for a hip operation, the persistent delays and uncertainties triggered severe anxiety, culminating in a hospital admission following a major anxiety attack on the cusp of my surgery. Amidst the chaos, a glimmer of hope emerged when Dan assured me on 16th June that the greenhouse could indeed fit on the existing base. The completion of the installation, though delayed, finally brought the Halls Birdlip 6 x 4 greenhouse before me. However, the joy was bittersweet as most of the plants I had purchased earlier lay damaged or perished, a poignant reminder of the toll this ordeal had taken. Seeking recourse for the emotional and financial toll, I reached out to Rachel Philpot, only to be offered free integrated shelving as compensation, disregarding the distress caused and the losses incurred. The lack of empathy and accountability in this response only cemented my disappointment in the company's values and practices. In conclusion, my journey with greenhouses.com was marked by challenges, setbacks, and a resilient spirit that persevered against the odds. While the end product met my expectations, the journey to get there was fraught with disappointments and frustrations.
