However, a few months down the line, a crack appeared on my son's board, leading us into a labyrinth of warranty procedures. Responding swiftly, Halo Board promised to cover the cracked body under warranty but unearthed $220 in circuit board damages due to "water exposure." Surprised, as our boards had never been submerged and had only encountered poolside excitement, the blame shifted to the cracked body allowing moisture in, resulting in the circuit board damage. Despite our reasoning, we ended up with a hefty bill for repairs, raising doubts about the quality and durability of the product. The saga continued as my daughter's board suffered a similar fate, with Halo Board now reluctant to cover the body replacement costs and charging us $140. The replacement process further unmasked the fragility of the plastic body, cracking repeatedly during reassembly. Amidst frustration, Halo Board eventually covered the replacement, shedding light on the questionable craftsmanship and high repair costs associated with their products. As a typically positive reviewer, I must highlight the shortcomings of my Halo Board experience.
