The pre-installation team faced an obstruction in pushing a cable through, a common issue in properties like mine in Cherry Burton. On the installation day, the KCOM engineer encountered further hurdles. Unaware of past struggles, he managed to push the cable through but couldn't connect the fiber in the chamber, necessitating help from additional engineers from Bridlington. To overcome the distance of 300m and complete the installation, they had to go the extra mile, quite literally. After delays, the inside work fitting the ONT and router was completed two weeks later. Yet, technical difficulties persisted, causing disruptions in making calls. Despite the challenges faced during the setup, the dedication and efforts of the KCOM Home team shone through.
