Unfortunately, amidst these gems, there exist some employees who exude laziness and disinterest to such an extent that it borders on unacceptable. Let me recount my recent encounter with KIND. In early December 2023, I had to replace my hearing aid at the expense of my insurance. Naturally, I assumed that the new device would be ready by my upcoming appointment two weeks later in mid-December, just like the previous two hearing aids that had arrived about four weeks prior. However, upon arriving at the scheduled appointment, I was informed by a colleague of my "customer caretaker" that my regular contact was absent due to illness. While illness is understandable, what followed was disappointing. I was casually informed that my new hearing aid would only arrive in January due to the pre-holiday rush. The lack of proactive communication from other staff members at the branch, who could have notified me of the appointment cancellation during lunchtime, felt negligent. Driving 50km round trip, searching for parking, and incurring parking fees for at least an hour only to be told the appointment was canceled onsite was a frustrating ordeal. Moreover, the delayed production time for a previously manufactured hearing aid, stretching from two weeks to nearly six weeks, felt excessively slow and lacking urgency. As a customer, I value efficiency and effective communication, which seemed lacking in this instance. Moving forward, I will closely monitor the actions of my customer caretaker. Should they decide to transition to another company, I may likely follow suit. While KIND has its shining stars, the shadows cast by instances of inefficiency and poor communication could potentially sway my loyalty. U
