Lenovo says it’s not safe to buy used computers

My review for lenovo.com Lenovo (documented to have sold new computers infected with spyware): "Is it safe to buy a used laptop or computer? In a word, no.". What unbelievable gall! This false and totally self-serving advice persuades me that I should never buy another Lenovo product of any kind.

Lenovo is the worst IT company on…

My review for lenovo.com Lenovo is the worst IT company on earth. I purchased one of their highest end game PC's. After 9 months it started to lose network connection with one application. This spread to other applications. Their advice is to discard everything on the PC (back up) and reinstall..........can you believe that. Never ever buy a product from this low end outfit

My review for lenovo.com I've bought the Yoga slim 7 on the Lenovo site in Ireland. It's often restart after "blue screen". It seams that fake details inside or broken. It's annoying to change again the laptop. Don't trust their customers support. Very slowly and risk to be ignored. Not recommend.

Lenovo is a NOT serious company

My review for lenovo.com Summary: Lenovo is a NOT serious company. Why: order 4644595976 for a Laptop P11 was paid on the 30th of December and never received. Claim opened to Lenovo and UPS on the 10th of January. UPS has closed the investigation confirming item was not delivered. Lenovo is promising for 3 weeks for a reimbursement that has not been done. Customer care every time contacted says: "We are sorry, a solicit has been sent to our administration". Garbage. A serious company would have sent a reimbursement or a new shipment immediately.

“Lenovo Went Beyond Disappointing: A Customer’s Journey Through Delays and Disappointment”

As someone who has been a loyal Lenovo customer for over two decades, it pains me to share the disappointing experience I had with Lenovo.com. The advertised 6-9 days delivery timeframe turned into a frustrating saga of delays, failed and missing equipment, and shoddy customer service. After enduring multiple delays, the computer I ordered on January 19, 2024, finally arrived on February 9, 2024. To my dismay, it had a non-functioning keyboard and was missing a mouse dongle, rendering it incomplete and inoperable. Despite assuring me that replacements would be dispatched immediately, Lenovo insisted on receiving the faulty items before sending out the new ones. This would have potentially added another 10-14 days before I could have a functioning computer, an unacceptable delay given the circumstances. Frustrated with the poor service, I made the decision to return the complete unit and purchase from another manufacturer. However, the return process was yet another testament to Lenovo's shoddy service. It took them 3-5 days just to email me a returns label, with the refund process potentially dragging on for up to a fortnight. When I raised my concerns via email, Lenovo's response indicated that it could take over a month before I received my refund. This was a far cry from the initial promise of a 6-9 day delivery. With no end in sight to this ordeal, I had to set a reasonable deadline for Lenovo before considering disputing the transaction with my credit card provider. As someone who had been a loyal customer for so long, it's disheartening to say that I will never use Lenovo again. The lack of accountability, the prolonged delays, and the overall disregard for customer satisfaction have left a lasting negative impression. It's my hope that by sharing this experience, Lenovo takes the necessary steps to improve their delivery process and customer service for the benefit of all their customers.

DO NOT EVER BUY A LENOVO! Faulty computer and no company response

My review for lenovo.com My computer is 2.5 years old (just out of warranty), expensive top of the range, and the RAM is faulty so my computer randomly shuts down several times per day. Built in RAM that can't be changed or fixed - I must throw away the computer that cost me 800€. Lenovo doesn't have customer care beyond a useless chatbot. They won't respond to my questions and definitely won't accept any responsibility for their faulty equioment! I will NEVER again buy a Lenovo and I certainly recommend you not to do it!

Prepare for unsatisfactory order fulfilment, delivery and importantly customer service

My review for lenovo.com This review is based upon their Customer Service and the experience I have had since placing an order. For an organisation that produces some high quality technology, they don't apply their might to their own internal systems, procedures, platforms or customer service solutions. I placed two orders from 1st January during their winter sale, orders were two weeks apart and as of 30+ days on Lenovo took full payment at time of order and haven't delivered a single item, nor have the ability to provide accurate delivery information nor (when you call then) have the ability to get updates internally. The average turn around for an intital inquiry is 3-5 business days, they often don't answer your inquiry when you call, chat or email them. Their front line support teams just don't have accurate, live information in front of them. I don't know if my item was delyed because of the way I configured (customised) my order, if their supply chain has issues, they give you no clues, nor do they try and work around the problem by identifying alternative products that are available for shipment. Who ever is in charge of their Customer Services should be ashamed of the standard to which their teams are able to offer support to customers. They use overseas call centres, often the language barrier means that the customer is left to leave a message which the associate will just input into the system and then a long wait for a mythical creature to respond. I have several contacts over the last 7-8 weeks since ordering and only 1 of those contacts resulted in me getting a little more information. I have been informed that I should expect my item in the next 5 working days, but I just won't believe it until the courier is at the door. Lenovo - do better, you have the know how... otherwise just give up, sell your business and go home.

This is undoubtedly the worst PC…

My review for lenovo.com This is undoubtedly the worst PC purchase I have made. (Over a 25 year period). I paid $1,800 for a Thinkstation P360 Ultra in August of 2023 (about 6 months ago). To be clear, the $1,800 was JUST for the box - no monitor or accessories. Nothing but problems. The network adapter has issues. The PC doesn't restart properly (re-starting is the only way to get it working again). Audio and video don't sync. Despite tons of memory, storage and processor power, it often "thinks". Customer support is a joke. NEVER NEVER will I buy ANYTHING from LENOVO again.

Absolutely worst experience of any…

My review for lenovo.com Absolutely worst experience of any laptop I have ever had. I wouldn't give it any stars if I could. The laptop would or restart while I am using it without any warnings. I get this at least twice a day and this has been going on for years. I tried to bring it to the service centre, it was equally a bad experience. I had to surrender my laptop for a few days which was too much of an inconvience. By the way, the laptop started having issues the same week I bought it. This is the last time I bought lenovo, I am going back to acer and asus.

Would not give any star

My review for lenovo.com Would not give any star. "Support" is non-existent. Every department from so-called "customer care" to Sales to so-called 'technical support' passed the buck and was unable to assist with the simplest request: deactivate my account. Confirmation codes never received, etc. I will NEVER buy Lenovo brand again.

Laptop has broken down less than a year…

My review for lenovo.com Laptop has broken down less than a year out of warranty, Lenovo will not repair or replace. My laptop has broken down (completely - it is completely unusable, blue screen/shutting down within two minutes of startup consistently, even after attempting multiple fixes). Has not been damaged or had dodgy downloads. Under Australian consumer laws I am entitled to refund, repair, or replacement but Lenovo will not honour this. Forced to complain to ACCC and to take legal action. Never buying Lenovo again.

Lenovo IdeaPad 3/Or never buy Lenovo devices

My review for lenovo.com Omg it was the worst experience in the word. Lenovo keep updating my laptop and after every update WiFi is gone. I have only one laptop and there’s no internet direct connection. So every time I need to go through hell. And the service center just tells me to download the update. Funny because without internet is not possible. I don’t have another option as well but to go to a computer service pay money to get the wife driver transfered to my laptop. I bought the laptop to use and not to every time solve their mistakes with drivers. And the Lenovo itself doesn’t want to solve their mistakes for free. They ask me to pay. That’s a very good strategy to loose customers. People please never buy Lenovo. That’s the worst option ever. And if you still somehow decide to buy, please at least download all the necessary drivers packs to make you device run.

Ignored and Given the Runaround

My review for lenovo.com The laptop I purchased dropped in price by $105 2 days later. I contacted their Price Match department right away and was given instructions on how to apply for the price match. I heard nothing for 3.5 weeks so I sent a follow-up email. They responded and told me they couldn't find a screenshot with the required information, and that the screenshot had to have a timestamp, which was not specified in the graphic included in the first email. I responded and told them this; I included screenshots of the original email, showing the date of the email and the instructions. I again heard nothing for a week and a half, so I contacted them again and got the same response. I called Customer Care at that point and was told I needed to talk to Sales; Sales told me I needed to talk to Customer Care or return my laptop and re-purchase it (it's not on sale now...). The laptop works great, no complaints with the product, but customer service is atrocious and seems to have been so for quite some time.

Shop elsewhere, the Lenovo Yoga i7 is rubbish

My review for lenovo.com Ordered a Yoga i7 2in1 laptop 2 weeks ago. I received it today and after using it for 30 minutes - while the unit was plugged in - the screen went black. I called technical support and after a series of tests, they determined that I had a "bad motherboard". So now I have to travel across town to drop it off at a UPS collection site. They did not offer pick-up. Buy something else - garbage product and poor customer support.
