During the visits, the engineers' lack of preparedness and diagnostic analysis was evident. With the initial engineer hastily recommending a defrost within minutes of arrival, and subsequent engineers proposing different solutions without the necessary tools or thorough assessment, I was left with a malfunctioning appliance and no real progress. The final straw came when a scheduled appointment on 27th December resulted in a no show, and I received an unprofessional suggestion from the engineer regarding a system blockage. Subsequently, a "BER" (Beyond Economical Repair) status was issued without a subsequent visit, raising questions about the integrity of the assessment. Upon contacting LG, their response was equally disappointing. They offered only a refund of the repair costs I originally paid, citing the out-of-warranty status of my 2.5-year-old, current model fridge freezer.
