No Customer Service from Local Flavor
Local Flavor's lack of customer service truly disappointed my husband and me during our recent visit to The Gourmet at Kenilworth. We were looking forward to using a certificate we had purchased, but our experience turned out to be quite disheartening. When we tried to order the Fish and Chips, which we had seen on the restaurant's website but couldn't locate on the menu, the server pointed it out in a rather unhelpful manner. Despite the confusion, we proceeded to order two servings, only to be informed later that we did not qualify for the certificate redemption because we hadn't ordered an entrée. The restaurant staff cited the specific wording "For Entrée's Only" as the reason for denying our certificate, even though we believed that spending $17.00 on the Fish and Chips should have constituted ordering an entrée. Although we acknowledge missing the fine print, we felt that the situation could have been handled more amicably. The frustrating encounter prompted us to reach out to Local Flavor for assistance, hoping for a refund or another certificate for future use. Unfortunately, our attempts to resolve the issue with Local Flavor's customer service were met with further disappointment. Their response emphasized the inclusion of "For Entrée's Only" in both the certificate's terms and the deal's fine print, implying that we had failed to grasp this crucial detail. The company's unwillingness to address our dissatisfaction or offer a satisfactory resolution left us feeling unsupported and undervalued as customers. Their final offer to close our account seemed like a dismissive and unsympathetic way to handle our concerns. Regrettably, our experience with Local Flavor led us to close our account with the platform altogether. The lack of understanding and assistance from both the restaurant and the discount service provider left a sour taste in our mouths. While we had hoped for a pleasant dining experience and positive customer service, the ordeal ultimately fell short of our expectations, prompting us to sever ties with the company and seek alternative options for future deals and discounts. No Customer Service from Local Flavor
My review for localflavor.com My husband and I went to use a certificate for The Gourmet at Kenilworth. When the server came over, I told him I had seen Fish and Chips on their website, but I could not seem to locate it on the menu. He simply took the menu, pointed to the left bottom corner, said it was there, and it was $17.00 - so we ordered two. Imagine our surprise when the server told us that the restaurant denied the certificate because we did not order an entree. I was shocked that because Fish and Chips at $17.00 was not listed under Entree but Light Fare, they would not honor the certificate. I am sorry, I think paying $17.00 is an entree price. I agree that I missed For Entrée Only, but I thought we were ordering an entreeWhen we sent a message to Local Flavor, the denied our request for a refund or another certificate to use somewhere else. I wrote again and this was their response:“While we hear your frustration understand this information (For Entrée's Only) is not only part of the certificate language that you failed to read it is part of the fine print language on the deal before even purchasing as well. We understand that You feel "Fish and Chips' Should be an entree however it is indeed a light Fare in this establishment and we have no say over that!” While we are sorry to see you go we are happy to obliged an account closure if you indeed no longer want this account.” So much for customer service. Needless to say, I have closed my account at Local Flavor. J

Scamming people of their money
I had a disappointing experience with LocalFlavor that left me feeling scammed and frustrated. Back in March 2020, I purchased a voucher for a local restaurant, excited to try out their offerings. However, as the pandemic took hold and businesses were forced to close their doors temporarily, I found myself unable to redeem my voucher. Hoping for some understanding and flexibility, I reached out to LocalFlavor, explaining the situation and inquiring about the possibility of receiving credit for the amount I had spent. Given the uncertain nature of the times and the expiration date of the voucher looming, I felt it was a fair request. Fast forward to 2021, with the situation improving and the restaurant reopening, I attempted to use my expired voucher, only to be met with resistance from the establishment. They not only refused to honor the promotional value but also declined to accept the voucher at its paid value. Feeling disheartened, I turned to LocalFlavor once again for assistance, only to be met with a disappointing response - they claimed there was nothing they could do to remedy the situation. This experience left me feeling as though someone had taken my money without providing the promised service in return. LocalFlavor's refusal to offer any meaningful help or support in the face of this issue was incredibly disheartening, as they simply passed the responsibility onto the vendor without taking any accountability for the situation. I strongly advise against engaging with LocalFlavor, as their lack of customer care and responsibility in addressing valid concerns is truly disheartening. It's clear that they prioritize their profit over ensuring that their customers are treated fairly and provided with the service they rightfully deserve. As a result of this experience, I wholeheartedly echo the sentiment to stay far away from this organization. J

Turning Frustration into Empathy: My Eye-Opening Experience with LocalFlavor.com
Reflecting on my journey with LocalFlavor.com, an unexpected turn of events unfolded. It all began in March 2020 when I eagerly purchased a voucher for a local restaurant through their platform. As fate would have it, the looming pandemic forced the restaurant to temporarily close its doors. In a state of uncertainty, I reached out to LocalFlavor.com, expressing my concerns about the voucher expiration amidst the ongoing crisis. I proposed the idea of receiving credit for the amount paid, considering the unpredictable circumstances. However, my hopes were quickly dashed as time elapsed without a favorable resolution. Navigating the challenges of 2021, a glimmer of hope emerged as restrictions eased, and I ventured back to the restaurant with expired voucher in hand. To my dismay, the establishment adamantly refused to honor the voucher at its paid value, let alone its promotional worth. Frustrated by this encounter, I turned to LocalFlavor.com for assistance, only to be met with a disheartening response - they were unable to intervene, suggesting the vendor should accept the voucher. Feeling disheartened and disillusioned by this lack of accountability, I found myself at a loss. However, amidst this turbulent experience, a new realization dawned upon me - the importance of empathy and understanding in consumer interactions. Despite the setbacks and disappointment faced, I choose to see this as an opportunity for growth and advocacy for transparent and compassionate customer service practices. In hindsight, while my initial encounter with LocalFlavor.com left much to be desired, it served as a reminder of the value of genuine human connection in business dealings. I caution others to approach with caution, yet harbor hope that my tale sparks a dialogue for positive change within the realm of customer service.
