I recently purchased a doorbell camera from Lorex, and while the product itself is promising, I encountered some frustrating issues with the initial setup. After a few days of use, the camera kept going offline, prompting me to seek technical support through the Lorex App. Despite several attempts, I was unable to secure the assistance I needed. Determined to resolve the issue, I reached out directly to the company and was finally provided with a tech support number. Upon calling the provided number, I was met with a series of detailed questions about my purchase, including the date, location, and even the serial number. However, when asked to provide the serial number located on the doorbell's back plate, I found myself at a loss. The device was already installed on my home, making access to the serial number seemingly impossible. The support representative's inability to access this essential information remotely left me puzzled and quite inconvenienced. It was disheartening to realize that I would need to physically remove the doorbell, take a photo of the serial number, and then supply it to the technical support team before they could proceed with addressing the issue.
