My review for magazinesdirect.com Thieves. They have been repeatedly charging my account £21.50 at a time. I’ve had to call my bank and request them to reverse the direct debits. Luckily only one actually went through - I am not holding out for a refund however, after reading countless complaints on social media and on here. Appalling and unprofessional, totally scammed me.15/02/2024 EDIT - their team did absolutely NOTHING to help take care of their errors. Their response on here is a generic one. Even after speaking to them they continued taking money from my account. I had to get my bank involved to reverse as many of the direct debits as possible. A

My review for magazinesdirect.com I took out a subscription with them, only to find they had taken three lots of my details, so consequently 3 direct debits, each time I contacted them I was assured the problem was sorted, then to add insult to injury they took another DD payment a month after the initial subscription, No free gift with subscription No apology, compete frustration. My review for magazinesdirect.com I notice today that Future plc( Magazines Direct) have given a trading update. Their shares gave fallen more than 8percent, and in the update it states "magazines continue to be resilient."It is not suprising when magazine subscribers are treated with such contempt, and if they continue the way they are I would think their shares will fall a great deal more. As already mentioned I would suggest magazine readers purchase them from elsewhere, as it appears that Magazine Direct take money from customers accounts that are not authorised. J

Magazines direct is a complete scam
My review for magazinesdirect.com Magazines direct is a complete scam. Every now and then I order a single issue magazine from metal hammer. But every now and then that magazine doesn’t turn up. So I have to go through the same hassle emailing customer service which are extraordinarily slow to reply. Every single time I am told my magazine must have been lost in the post, that they’ll send me another out, and that I should expect it within a week. Out of the many many MANY times I have gone through this process I have only ever received the one replacement magazine which was the incorrect issue and I was told to send it back to them. I truly believe they don’t send out the replacement and instead just lie to keep you happy a little bit longer and string you along. It is absolutely unreal. Never have I had as much trouble with a company as this one. Nothing comes close. Honestly it’s starting to seriously get on my nerves as I’m spending my money through this company and all I’m getting out of it is stress !!! PLEASE SEND MY REPLACEMENT MAGAZINES YOU OWE ME MULTIPLE. And don’t reply telling me the email team has dealt with the issue because they absolutely haven’t !!! B

An embarrassment to Bath
My review for magazinesdirect.com Magazines Direct is run by Future Publishing in Bath. It truly is an embarrassment to an otherwise fine city. I tried to order a cookbook twice from them. The first time: I order, weeks pass, no book arrives. I inquire. "Something went wrong with processing your card". Fine, it happens every now and then I suppose. I cancel the order, and reorder with another card. I wait weeks, no book arrives. I inquire. "Something went wrong with processing your card". Ask yourself, do you really want to do business with a company who has difficulty with the most basic of tasks: accepting a card payment? Me neither. So I'm cancelling my magazine subscriptions as well. C

My review for magazinesdirect.com I have a yearly magazine subscription with this company. I found they'd been taking monthly payments of £24 over the past year, instead of 2 monthly direct debits over the year of £24. I was told this was due to a system error. So why wasnt i informed. They should have picked this up upon allocation of the payments. This was my findings not theirs. I asked for a Manager who didn't call me back. I rang the following day and was told a refund of £192 would be in my account in 2 days. I also asked why I wasn't informed about the mishap and how many others this is happening too, and he couldn't answer the question. I have just called again - 5 days after the initial conversation, to be told the refund will be 7 to 10 days, at this point I demanded my money NOW! After reading these reviews I'm surprised this company is still in business and hasn't been investigated. Shocking!! Do not use this company.. they steal your money. I will report them to the relevant bodiesOwners are based in Bath and are called Future Publishing Ltd. H

I ordered tv times and received 1st one…
My review for magazinesdirect.com I ordered tv times and received 1st one 27th September. I received the 1st 5 but not number 6. Received the next 5 then not number 12. I cancelled my order on 15th December after speaking to Ariel at customer service. He told me I would receive tv times until 24th February. I have not received any for 3 weeks now even though I have paid for them. How I wish I had read reviews for this company before I ordered anything. They take your money but don’t deliver. I don’t know how they stay in business. G

Poor and Slow Communication
My review for magazinesdirect.com I ordered two magazines and received a receipt saying I had paid via email, so I assumed they were being posted to me. A month later I receive a letter via printed post saying the payment had been declined so I needed to call an overseas number and pay over the phone to complete my order. I tried to order again, however both magazines are now out of stock. I emailed their customer service to check if there was a way to obtain the magazines and they confirmed there was no remaining stock. Why did I not receive an email or norfication during the payment process saying the payment was declined? Why did I receive a receipt (emailed, so clearly the capability is there!) saying the amount had been paid and the order was successfully placed? I'm really, really unhappy about this. These magazines came with a poster and a badge, so an online edition just won't cut it. E

First experience with that website
My review for magazinesdirect.com I ordered a METAL HAMMER issue on a website, and it was my first experience with that website. The delivery to Germany took 4 weeks, and despite that there was only sheer plastic wrapping the item was not damaged. It would be better if there was some email about the shipping in addition to the order confirmation, to ensure that the order was sent. But overall I have nothing to complain about, and will definitely order there again. J

My review for magazinesdirect.com Would give 0 stars if possible... In two months haven't recieved a single issue of magazine I subscribed for.. been promised replacement several times but recieved nothing again... They stopped responding after I requested cancellation and refund.. As far as I'm concerned this company is nothing more than a scam.
