Someone fraudulently place a card into my PayPal account
My review for paypal.com I had someone fraudulently place a card in my PayPal account and took $997 out of my bank account and place into fraudulent account. PayPal and bank agreed it to fraudulent and reimbursed my bank account. Later I found that PayPal had changed their mind and that it wasn’t fraudulent and that I owe PayPal $997. Now I can’t close account until I pay back the fraud. I had to close my bank account and open a new account. Also had cancel my charge card. C

My review for paypal.com If you think that your purchases and returns via PayPal are protected under the consumer act, it isn't. I sent an order back to the company I purchased from, with tracking and proof of delivery, the company haven't processed my refund and PayPal says they can't do anything about it. PayPal isn't the securest way to pay, as they claim. They can only help you if you didn't receive your order. If you returned your item, the seller doesn't have to process your refund when returned in the given timeframe and PayPal will not assist you. PayPal is only concerned that it has received a percentage of your purchase. Even if the company has proven to be fraudulent, despite other reputable businesses removing the company from their sites and services, PayPal will enable and support fraudulent companies because it is in their best interest. Do not trust PayPal it is safer to purchase via credit card where your bank will process a chargeback. P

paypal not stood true to their word
My review for paypal.com 100 credit their paypal exec whose name I can't name, had given with an expiry date, which she upgraded to a non-expirable credit, or so she promised. That did not happen. Credit expired dec 31st 2023, and all of 2024 so far, that person (nor any of them) not stood true to their word. ... I am still waiting. I'll keep at this till you honor the promise you put in writing!! B

My review for paypal.com Scammed by PayPal. My account has been breached 3 times. I did everything they asked to secure the account. They paid me back 2 of the scams but insist I authorised the 3rd. They have allowed someone to pay for a Paramount + years subscription in America. I live in UK. They insist I authorised this but if they investigated properly they would realise this is not me. There are many scammers out there but it seems like paypal is the biggest of them all as they purport to be on the side of the consumer. My review for paypal.com When money is taken from accounts for 120 days it leaves the customer in a state of panic and financial turmoil!! You could prevent this by giving the customer time to withdraw money and avoid the unnecessary hardship and mental stress you cause the customer, who has done nothing wrong The only mistake they have made is by using Paypal . Do not put your trust in PayPal
My review for paypal.com Not even worth one star..but wish to say, don't trust PayPal. They forced me to return useless goods to an address in China, costing £38.08 despite the fact that the seller withheld the return address until my 5th email request. Goods had come fro Feltham UK. The seller had given a false Chinese zip code which UPS parcel form wouldn't accept, so I found the correct one. Seller wanted me to lie about value for customs, then they refused to collect the goods. PayPal said I had given an invalid tracking number, which was untrue, then said I needed to upload the tracking number then decided in same telephone converstaion that because I hadn't used the false zip code supplied, but the correct one then they would have to find against my claim. Rogue seller, rogue PayPal, would advise not to trust them at all. £88, I would have preferred to go to charity.
