Bad Business Practices
My review for quantumfiber.com Only marginally better than Century Link. Had Century Link (CL) fiber @ $XX/mo. CL spun off Quantum Fiber (QF), received email saying "Welcome to Quantum Fiber". Was double billed by CL and QF for the same month. Called CL about this because of email, they turned off fiber service. We had no service, called QF and service was turned on. Over two months with QF - service was disconnected, had to call to reconnect (twice). Finally was told by QF there was a migration account problem with CL, cancel existing QF account and apply for new QF account – this would prevent future disconnect. Price had increased by $10/mo by this point but was told by two different customer service reps that they could give a loyalty discount to get me back to original CL price. Paid +$10 on initial QF new account but thought I don’t mind as long as they work this out, which they said they were working on. After two additional $10 credits over the last two months, was told today “Sorry, account not eligible for loyalty discount”, you’ll have to pay new $XX + $10/mo. Needless to say, not happy but what else can you expect from CL companies? If you deal with them, get it in writing! Will be switching in the future. D
