Best of Italy Tour for 13 days, really 11 days. Recommendation: Do NOT take a Trafalgar Tour of any kind!

After a disappointing experience with a 13-day Best of Italy tour, my advice is to steer clear of Trafalgar Tours. This was our second tour with them, and unfortunately, it fell short once again. Firstly, the language barrier with the travel director was a major obstacle. Understanding only 10% of what was being said made for a frustrating and disjointed experience. The bus driver, Theo, added to the unpleasantness with surly and rude behavior throughout the trip. Moreover, the constant push for expensive additional excursions became tiring. These add-ons were shockingly priced at 2.5 times more than private tours, leaving us feeling taken advantage of. The poor quality of food and accommodations also marred the trip, with subpar hotels lacking basic amenities like AC and adequate water pressure. The excessive time spent on the bus, often 4-8 hours a day, alongside 49 other passengers, made it difficult to relax. The relentless sales pitches for optional activities only added to the discomfort. Even pre-paying gratuities did not warrant acknowledgment or appreciation from the staff. It was truly disheartening. In conclusion, we regret having prepaid and won't make that mistake again. But most importantly, we will not subject ourselves to another Trafalgar Tour. Please learn from our experience and consider other options for a truly enjoyable and memorable travel experience.

Better of Italy Tour for 13 days, actually 11 days. Advice: Do NOT take a Trafalgar Tour of any type!

My evaluate for trafalgar.com Better of Italy Tour for 13 days--actually 12 days. This was our 2nd Trafalgar tour--1st was Egypt---also horrible!1) Might ONLY perceive about 10 % of the journey director's harangue. Her identify was Frederica. The identical state of affairs occurred in Egypt.2) The bus driver named Theo was surly and impolite.3) The Journey Director continuously offered the additional excursions. These have been 2.5 instances costlier then privately-made excursions. Instance in Rome--Crown Excursions.4) The meals was horrible.5) The lodges have been at greatest 2-3 star. NO AC, low water strain, and the breakfasts have been poor.6) Many hours have been spent most days on the bus--4-8 hours. There have been 49 passengers on this bus! You would not chill out on the bus as a result of the tour director continuously was talking and promoting non-compulsory excursions. Once more, couldn't perceive however 10 % of what she mentioned.7) We pre-paid gratuities, however wished that we had not completed so. Neither the motive force nor Journey Director thanked us. We is not going to prepay once more, nevertheless, we are going to NEVER take one other Trafalgar Tour.
