Refused to accept return

My review for trekitt.co.uk Bought a jacket online, the only size left was a size larger than I normally wear but I thought it was worth a try as it seemed like such a good deal and the website states that returns are accepted up to 90 days after purchase. Took the jacket out of the parcel, left all the tags on and tried it on in my living room. It was clearly much too big and loose, so I immediately returned the jacket (at my own cost). I then received an email stating they refused to refund the item as it was damaged, and when pressed, advised that it was stained. When disputed they sent a photo of an absolutely minuscule spot near the zip. I cannot understand how this could have been marked in the brief time I was trying it on in front of a mirror, and the mark is so tiny if it had been there originally I wouldn’t have noticed it unless I had scrutinised the jacket immediately after I had unpacked it, and why would you when it’s a brand new coat? Reading other reviews now this company clearly has an issue with aftercare and returns, so be very careful of buying online from them as they are clearly looking for any excuse to avoiding having to refund customers, whether by accepting legitimate returns or products supposedly under warranty. Future buyers BEWARE! NB after jacket was returned to me I found the tiny mark they had said had damaged the coat, and it was removed easily and completely after one wet wipe. Maybe the company should just state they don’t want to accept returns on their website instead of advertising 90 days?
