My review for viking-direct.co.uk BEWARE - DO NOT TELEPHONE VIKINGWe bought a paper cutter that had light use for about eight months before becoming blunt and stiff. We emailed them and were able to arrange for the cutter to collected for a refund. So far, so OK…However, we then received an email requesting us to call them as they were having difficulty processing our refund due to an issue with our card. We duly called and were passed from person to person until we were told they had what they needed. I’ve now been charged £10.85 for the call which was an 044 number - premium rate - not covered by usual phone contracts. A quick Google reveals that THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE dating back many years. I’m not sure what scam Viking have got going, or how they benefit, but BEWARE. I do not think there was ever any reason why they should have had a problem with processing our refund (and we’re waiting now to see if they even have!). We had intended to reorder a cutter but will use a different supplier now.Regretful Delay Turned to Overwhelming Delight
