It's not. It is all plastic apart from some rails manufactured from aluminum, which permits them to incorporate "aluminum" prominently within the description. Do not be fooled by the 5 star critiques on their web site. Take a look at Amazon. Many, many unhealthy critiques. After I addressed the standard problem with Vivohome and ask that they pay to have me ship this again for a refund, they refused and supplied me $20 to maintain it.
