Terrible Manufacturing Defect and Pathetic Service
My review for whirlpoolindia.com It's been just a few years since I bought a washing machine paying around 28K, and we are still maintaining it as new.. I was promised about free service in the first year when I bought, however, it was never done.. No one from customer service has contacted for the service yet.. I, however, have a bigger problem now.. There seem to be a fundamental flaw in the design, it looks like an internal leak below the detergent container and it has now spoiled the body.. Suddenly one day the paint ripped off while wiping the machine clean and that is how we came to know of this issue.. Contacted the customer service centre and they said that I need to pay another 15000 odd rupees to exchange for another machine!!! And another worst part is, to review their own manufacturing defect, they changed 531 rupees as well – absolutely no service was done.. Now, there is not response from their end for a fair resolution.. Pathetic product and Pathetic Service.. Just writing this to help fellow customers - Never buy Whirlpool products and struggle.. Realistically there is should be a zero start which would aptly suit Whirlpool.. With this kind of customer experience, I hope Whirlpool very soon packs up their business from India.. M
