Hi, I'm Jini Reddy, an award-winning author and journalist from London. I'm best known for my two non-fiction books, Wanderland and Wild Times, both of which have received critical acclaim.
Wanderland, which was shortlisted for the Stanford Dolman Award and the Wainwright Prize, is a personal exploration of the British landscape and the myths and legends associated with it. In the book, I take readers on a journey through some of the UK's wildest and most remote places, from the Scottish Highlands to the Cornish coast, and share my own experiences of walking and camping in these places.
My second book, Wild Times, is a collection of true stories about people who have had extraordinary experiences in nature. From a woman who survived a shark attack in the Indian Ocean to a man who walked the length of the Amazon, the book is a celebration of the human spirit and our deep connection to the natural world. Wild Times won the Wainwright Prize for UK Nature Writing in 2020.
Before becoming an author, I worked as a senior news reporter for Askmeoffers, where I covered a wide range of topics, from politics and crime to entertainment and lifestyle. I've also written for a variety of other publications, including The Guardian, The Independent, and Time Out.
In addition to my writing, I'm also an affiliate marketer and teacher, helping people learn the art of making money and achieve financial freedom. I'm passionate about empowering young people to take control of their finances and build a better future for themselves.
Originally from Nagpur, Maharashtra, India, I now live in London with my family. When I'm not writing or teaching, you can find me hiking in the countryside or exploring new places around the world.
