(b) Protect Representatives from any form of retaliation for reporting concerns in good faith.

(c) Establish a clear framework for receiving, investigating, and addressing reported concerns, as well as taking corrective actions to address inappropriate conduct and behaviors.

Reporting Responsibility: Promoting Ethical Conduct

Every Representative has the responsibility to report any concerns they may have about actual or suspected violations of’s policies, as well as any federal, state, or municipal laws, regulations, or executive orders that govern our operations (referred to as “Concerns”). These concerns may include, but are not limited to, financial improprieties, accounting or audit matters, ethical violations, unlawful harassment, discrimination, or any other illegal or improper practices. It is crucial that individuals reporting concerns do so in good faith and with reasonable grounds to believe that the disclosed information indicates a violation of law,’s policies, or ethical standards. However, making knowingly false or malicious allegations is considered a serious offense and may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment or volunteer status.

Retaliation Is Prohibited: Safeguarding Whistleblowers takes complaints and reports of concerns seriously, conducting thorough investigations as required by our procedures and applicable laws. We are committed to protecting any Representative, independent contractor, or former employee who reports a concern in good faith or participates in the review or investigation process. We strictly prohibit any form of harassment, retaliation, adverse employment consequences, threats, or actual or threatened reports to authorities against those who make reports or participate in the review or investigation. This protection extends to all Representatives, independent contractors, and former employees who report concerns in good faith, even if the allegations are not substantiated after an investigation.

Furthermore, any Representative found to have engaged in retaliation against an individual who reported a concern or participated in a review or investigation will be subject to disciplinary action, including termination of employment or volunteer status. If anyone believes that a Representative has experienced harassment, retaliation, or adverse employment consequences due to reporting a concern or participating in the process, they should immediately contact’s Ethics Officer or the designated contact person. It is important to note that this Policy does not supersede the procedures and protections outlined in’s policies against Unlawful Harassment, which are detailed in the Employee Policy Manual.

Confidentiality: Protecting Identities and Privacy

While we encourage individuals reporting concerns to identify themselves to facilitate investigations, we understand the need for confidentiality. Therefore, concerns can be submitted confidentially and, if desired, anonymously. We take reasonable steps to protect the identity of the reporting individual and maintain the confidentiality of reported concerns to the extent necessary for conducting thorough investigations.

Reporting Procedures: Encouraging Open Communication maintains a system that enables Representatives and external individuals to report concerns. We are committed to conducting fair and objective investigations to address reported concerns.

Periodic Reviews: Ensuring Accountability

To ensure that operates in line with its mission and upholds its commitment to transparency, the organization’s management will conduct periodic reviews of this Whistleblower Policy. These reviews will ensure that the policy remains relevant, effective, and compliant with applicable regulations. The Ethics Officer will report to the management team, providing updates on the nature and outcomes of investigations conducted under this policy. Any necessary modifications to the policy will be considered and implemented while respecting the confidentiality requirements mandated by law.

Miscellaneous: Record Retention and Compliance will retain records related to the investigation and resolution of reported concerns in accordance with our Record Retention and Destruction Policy. All records will be considered privileged and treated with strict confidentiality.

Distribution and Compliance

This Whistleblower Policy will be distributed to all Representatives, ensuring that they are aware of their rights and responsibilities under this policy. It is essential that every Representative understands and complies with the provisions outlined in this policy. Failure to adhere to the policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment, contract termination, or revocation of volunteer status.
